Just these 5 ranking officers have a total of 107 years of Fire-Rescue combined experience and the 6 of us a total of 133 years combined experience I am very proud of the agency and all the employees we have we have some of the best providers serving your community 24/7.
In closing the ceremony I left the new Ranking officers with this message- While taking on your new role and rank title you will be faced with many challenges that you must push on forward and lead by example leadership is a action not a position lead from the front be a leader not a boss and you will succeed further in everything you do. Never except someone to do something you would not do yourself you will gain alot more respect treating everyone with the respect they deserve. Be the officer and take charge of any situation it's now your responsibility to lead, to make decisions and to make sure your crews go home safe at the end of the shift.
Matt Whited, EMS Director- Rescue Captain
